Winsent Messenger license key activation procedure

Introduction

When you buy Winsent Messenger you receive a license file instead of a product key. The license key file is a small binary file which contains your license key number, type of the license, number of seats, your name, company name and email address. The file name will be a long string of random numbers and letters and will have a .WINSENTMESSENGER extension, looking something (but not exactly) like this:
1D4Y-HGF3-9SD2-O423.WINSENTMESSENGER

This article provides an instruction on how to correctly install and activate the license keys for Winsent Messenger you have purchased.

Manual license key activation

It is recommended that you perform the activation steps as an administrator. To run Winsent Messenger as administrator: Exit the Winsent Messenger by right-clicking the program's tray icon and choosing the "Exit". Locate the program in your Start menu. Right-click on the shortcut and choose the option "Run as administrator".

The manual license key activation procedure includes the following steps:
1. Save the license key file to a folder of your choice.
2. Right click Winsent Messenger tray icon and choose "Change options" from the menu. Winsent Messenger settings window will be opened. Click "Licenses" in the left pane.
3. Click "Install" button, browse to the location of the license key file and pick the file. Click OK button. The license will appear in the "Available licenses" list.
4. Select your license in the "Available licenses" list and click "Activate" button.

If the activation succeeds, the program will display your license information in the "Active license" field.
